4) I need to go from 3/4 inch copper to a 1/2 inch threaded valve. Is there one fitting for that?
Yes, the 3/4 x 1/2 PC604 does it in a single fitting, part 9031200PC. Going the other direction, 1/2 press to 3/4 male thread is 9030750PC. Using the reducing adapter instead of a full-size adapter plus a bushing takes one joint and one potential leak path out of the connection.
5) What pressure and temperature is the Nibco Press System PC604 adapter rated for?
200 psi CWP, with a service range of -20 F to 250 F. That covers domestic hot and cold water, chilled water, and hydronic heating returns. If your system runs hotter than 250 F or above 200 psi, this is not the joint for it.
6) How do I know a Nibco press fitting is actually crimped correctly?
A raised "N" witness mark appears on the fitting when it has been properly pressed. Walk the run and look for it on every joint before you fill and test. It's the fastest way for an inspector or a foreman to verify a crew's work without pressurizing.

11) Is the Nibco PC604 adapter safe on a system with dezincification concerns?
The PC604 is dezincification resistant and made from ASTM B75 alloy C12200 copper. Dezincification is a brass problem, driven by zinc content and aggressive water; a wrot copper body sidesteps it. Worth noting on municipal water known to be hard on yellow brass fittings.
