Yes. The BCG-1001 has a 1 inch NPT male thread with 13 mm of thread length, so it threads straight into a 1 inch NPT hub or a 1 inch tapped hole in an enclosure wall. With only 13 mm of thread engagement, check that the wall thickness plus any locknut or sealing washer still leaves enough thread to pull up tight.

It carries an IP68 rating and a NEMA 4 rating, which covers dust-tight sealing plus protection against hose-directed water and splashing. That makes it suitable for outdoor, washdown and wet-process enclosures when the gland is properly tightened on a cable inside its 12 to 20 mm clamping range. NEMA 4 is a watertight rating, not an explosion-proof or hazardous-location rating.

No. The BCG-1001 is a non-armoured gland, so it clamps and seals on the outer jacket only. There is no armour cone, clamping ring or earth path for steel wire armour or interlocked armour. For armoured cable you need a dedicated armoured gland or an armoured-cable connector that terminates and bonds the armour.

The gland is cULus recognized and compliant with RoHS, WEEE and the LVD. The cULus mark is what most inspectors and specifiers look for on a gland going into a listed enclosure in North America, and RoHS matters for export or sustainability-driven specs.

Body material is brass with a nickel-plated surface finish, which gives it good corrosion resistance for outdoor and damp industrial use. The metallic nickel plating also keeps it electrically continuous with a metal enclosure wall. For heavy chemical exposure or coastal salt spray, a stainless or plastic gland is usually the better call.

Operating range on the BCG-1001 is -20 to +100 degrees C (-4 to +212 F). That covers unheated outdoor enclosures in cold climates as well as hot motor and process cabinets. If the cable itself is rated lower than 100 C, the cable rating is the limiting factor, not the gland.

Straight body. The cable enters in line with the 1 inch NPT thread, so plan the cable bend outside the enclosure wall. The design is a low profile compact gland, which helps where enclosure clearance is tight, but it does not redirect the cable like an angled gland would.
