The FTLO Series 5 foot cabinet flat track kit is rated for sliding cabinet doors or panels up to 60 lbs. That covers cabinet fronts, mirrors, and light interior panels, but it is not a full-size barn door track, so a solid-core passage door is out of range.
2) What door thickness does the Orca FTLO mini cabinet track accept?
Maximum door thickness is 1-3/8 inches. The hangers and spacers in the kit are sized for that, so a thicker panel will not hang correctly. Cabinet fronts and light panels at or under 1-3/8 inches are what this hardware is built around.
3) How wide an opening will a 5 foot Orca mini flat track cover?
The kit is sized for openings up to 30 inches wide. The 5 foot track gives you roughly double the door width needed for a single panel to slide fully clear of a 30 inch opening. Wider openings need a longer track.
4) What comes in the Orca FTLO single door cabinet track kit, and do I need anything else?
The single door kit ships complete: 5 foot track, two hangers, spacers, end stops, anti-jump blocks, door guides, all fasteners, and instructions. Nothing else is required for a single panel. If you are running two doors, the double door kit adds two hangers, end stops, anti-jump blocks, door guides and fasteners, and does not include its own track.
5) Does the Orca FTLO mini track mount to the wall or to the ceiling?
Sidewall mounting. The track fastens to the face above the opening, which on a cabinet or built-in means the panel or cabinet frame above the door. It is not set up as a ceiling-mount track, so if you have no vertical face to land it on you need a different mounting style.
6) Do I have to order the Orca FTLO mini flat track left hand or right hand?
No handing to specify. The FTLO mini flat track kit is non-handed, so the same kit works whether the panel slides left or right. You decide the direction at install by where you set the end stops.
7) Will this mini track keep a cabinet door from jumping off or swinging at the bottom?
Both are addressed in the kit. Anti-jump blocks keep the hangers seated on the track if the panel is bumped, and door guides at the bottom keep the panel from swinging away from the face. Both are included with the single door kit.
