Both work. The FTST Series drop hangers are set up for 1-3/8 inch or 1-3/4 inch door thickness, which covers the standard 1-3/8 inch interior slab and the 1-3/4 inch commercial door. Thinner decorative slabs or thicker custom doors are outside that range.

It's a complete kit: track, hangers, spacers, end stops, floor guides, connector, anti-jump blocks and all necessary fasteners. What it does not include is the door itself or any pull, flush pull or lock, so plan on sourcing door hardware separately. Mounting is sidewall, so you also need solid backing behind the wall finish, a header board or blocking, to carry the track and door weight.

No handing to specify. The FTST kit is non-handed, so the same box works whether the door parks to the left or the right of the opening. Which side it slides to is decided by how you mount the track and where you place the end stops.

Sidewall mounting is the only method for the FTST Series, and drywall alone will not hold a sliding door. Fasten the track into studs or into a continuous header board that is itself anchored to framing. The kit supplies the fasteners, but the backing in the wall is on you.

Two parts in the kit handle that. Anti-jump blocks sit at the hangers and keep the rollers captive on the track if the door is bumped or lifted. Floor guides keep the bottom of the door from swinging away from the wall. Both are included, along with end stops that limit travel at each end.

Standard drop hangers. The hanger strap drops from the wheel down to the face of the door, which means you need enough wall height above the opening to carry the track plus that drop. If your ceiling sits tight to the head of the opening, a standard drop setup may not fit and you want a shorter-strap style instead.

The FTST hangers run polymer wheels, which roll quieter on steel track than metal-on-metal wheels do. The kit is rated commercial, so it is intended for higher-traffic work rather than residential-only duty.

Black is the finish offered on this kit, and the components are steel. If you are standardizing barn openings across a building, that keeps the look consistent from door to door without having to match finishes between kits.
