Orca Hardware PK1616 Soft Close for 1600 Series Track

It is built for the Orca 4-wheel 1600 Series track system only. The soft close mechanism has to engage the trolley and track profile it was made for, so it is not a universal add-on for other brands or other Orca track series. If your hangers are not the 4-wheel 1600 Series carriers, this is the wrong part.

No locking function at all. The PK1616 only controls how the door closes on its track. For latching you add a separate pocket door lock: Rockwood's 891 privacy latch or Deltana's SDL25 for a bath or bedroom, Deltana's SDP25 for a passage opening, or Omnia's 7035/A if the door needs a keyed entry function.

It is classed as commercial door hardware, and the mechanism is steel rather than a plastic or nylon damper body, which is what you want on a door that gets cycled all day in an office, clinic or hotel.

The soft close rides with the carriers up in the header, so door thickness is a lock question, not a track question. Where it does matter is the latch you pair with it: Weslock's 0527 passage and 0577 privacy pocket door locks cover 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch doors, while Pamex PF1 and PF2 sliding door locks are limited to 1-5/16 inch through 1-9/16 inch.
