The exit buttons are supplied with a choice of black or white fascias which can be fitted in the final stages of installation. The E series exit buttons are available in three sizes. They are suitable for interior use. The marine exit button is designed for looks as well as function. It uses a touch sensitive lens. The Marine exit button is suitable for interior use.

1) Will the Paxton E75 exit button work with a Net2 system, or is it only for Switch2?
The E75 exit button works with Paxton compact, Switch2 and Net2 systems. It is a dry momentary SPST switch, so it simply breaks or makes the contact your controller or lock power supply is looking for rather than talking to the system digitally.
2) Do I need a back box to mount the E75 exit button, and how much wall does it cover?
It is a surface mount square push button measuring 3.7 x 3.4 x 0.6 inches, and a fitting kit is supplied in the box. Because it mounts on the surface and stands only 0.6 inches off the wall, you do not need a recessed back box, though you will still need a route or a cable entry for the tail.
3) Can I use the Paxton E75 exit button on an exterior door or a gate?
No. The E series exit buttons are rated for interior use only, and vandal resistance is low. On an exterior face, a gate pedestal, or a lobby door in a high traffic building where the button takes abuse, choose a weather rated and vandal resistant button instead. Operating range is -20C to 55C, which covers unheated interior spaces but not exposure.
4) I need white exit buttons to match the other doors in the building. Does the E75 come in white?
You do not have to order a separate part. The black E75 ships with both a black and a white clip-on 75mm fascia, and the cover goes on at the final stage of installation. So one part number covers either look, and the styling matches the Paxton proximity reader and keypad range already on the openings.
5) Does the E75 exit button latch on when pressed, or release as soon as you let go?
It is momentary. Press it and the SPST contact makes for as long as you hold it, then it drops out on release. That is what you want for a release-to-exit on a maglock or electric strike, where the door relocks once the timer runs out. If you need a hold-open or a maintained on/off state, a momentary button won't give you that.
6) Is the E75 the right size, or should I use a different Paxton E series exit button?
The E75 is the 75mm size in a family of three E series sizes, with a square 3.7 x 3.4 inch footprint. Pick a different size in the series if you need a smaller plate on a narrow frame return or a larger one to cover an existing back box cutout. If the look matters more than the feel, Paxton's Marine exit button uses a touch sensitive lens instead of a mechanical press, also interior only.
7) What comes in the box with the Paxton E75 exit button?
The 75mm exit button itself, a black clip-on cover, a white clip-on cover, the E75 fitting kit, a serial number label and a tech support label. What is not included is the door release device, the power supply, and the cable run back to the controller.
