Plan on wall mounting. The board is supplied in its own housing and measures 4.3 x 4.4 x 0.8 inches, so it takes a small footprint on a backboard or plant room wall next to the controller. The 0.8 inch depth is shallow enough to sit under most enclosure lids if you are grouping it with other Net2 gear, but the mounting method it is built for is wall.
4) Is the Paxton Net2 I/O board wired or wireless?
Hardwired. It cables back to the Net2 system rather than joining over RF, so budget for the run when you site it. That also means the four relay circuits and the board's own 10V to 14V DC supply all terminate at the board itself.
