The HA7 operator handles single interior doors up to 48 inches wide and 200 lbs. Past either of those numbers it is the wrong operator. It is built for single interior doors only, so an exterior entrance or a pair of doors needs a different unit. Traffic rating is moderate, so it suits an office suite, a restroom, or a unit door rather than a main entrance cycling all day.
2) Do I need to hire an electrician to install a Record HA7 door operator?
No. The HA7 ships with a power adaptor and plug-in cables and runs off a standard 120 VAC wall outlet, so a hard-wired connection is optional rather than required. That is the difference for a property manager adding an accessible door to an existing suite: no conduit, no panel work, no electrician trip charge. Supply spec is 120 VAC +10/-15 percent, 50/60 Hz, drawing a maximum of 90 W.
3) Does the Record HA7 operator have to be ordered handed, left or right?
