1) Will the Schlage 7610 proximity fob work with the card readers I already have?
The 7610 is a 125 kHz proximity credential and reads on Schlage readers and electronic locks as well as other manufacturers' proximity readers. The thing that actually decides it is the bit format: these fobs are built for 37 bit H10302 proximity systems, so the reader and panel behind it have to be running that format. If your existing badges are on a different format, the head end won't recognize these. Read range is up to 4 to 5 inches, so it's a present-at-the-reader credential, not a long range one.
2) Can Schlage 7610 fobs replace the HID or Identiv fobs our building already issues?
Yes. The Schlage 7610 keyring fob is stated compatible with the HID 1346 and the Identiv 4082, so it drops into a system already issuing either of those. It stays a 125 kHz proximity credential encoded for 37 bit H10302 systems, which is the detail to confirm against how your existing fobs are encoded before you swap a whole building over.
