1) Will the Trine 002RS electric strike work with my lockset's latchbolt throw?
The Trine 002 strike is built for locksets with up to 5/8 inch throw, based on a 1/8 inch door gap. That covers most standard cylindrical and mortise latches. The auxiliary ramp runs 2-7/8 inches, so it also works with locksets that carry dead locking levers. If your lock throws more than 5/8 inch, this is the wrong strike.
2) What cutout does the Trine 002 electric strike need in the jamb?
Faceplate is 7-15/16 x 1-7/16 inches, with a mortise backset of 1-9/16 inches and a cavity measuring 1/2 inch deep, 9/16 inch wide and 1-1/2 inches high. 6) Can I put a Trine 002 electric strike behind an existing lockset without changing the lock?
