1) Will the Trine 2002 electric strike work with my lockset's latchbolt, and what door gap does it assume?
The 2002 accepts latch bolts with up to 5/8 inch throw, based on a 1/8 inch door gap. 2) What jamb does the Trine 2002 strike mount into, and what cutout does it need?
It goes into aluminum or hollow metal jambs, new construction or replacement. Faceplate is 7-15/16 x 1-7/16 inches, mortise backset 1-9/16 inches, and the cavity behind it is 9/16 deep by 5/8 wide by 1-11/16 high. That cavity is what you cut into the jamb, so check you have 1-9/16 inches of backset depth available before you commit. Wood jambs are not what this one is built for.
3) Does the Trine 2002 strike stay locked or unlocked when the power goes out?
Fail-secure. Drop the power and the keeper stays locked, so the door remains secured from the outside and you still get free egress by turning the inside lever. That is the normal choice for a perimeter or tenant entry door. If your fire alarm or life-safety sequence requires the opening to release on power loss, you want a fail-safe device instead, such as the Hager 2925 or 2928, which are field reversible between fail safe and fail secure.
4) Which voltage should I order the Trine 2002 in for my access control panel?
