1) Can the WAC Dice FM-4012 flush mount be installed on a wall as a sconce, and is it ADA compliant?
Yes. The 12 inch Dice square fixture mounts either on the ceiling or on a wall, and WAC lists it as ADA compliant when wall mounted. At 2.63 inches deep it stays within the shallow projection an ADA path of travel needs. It is also rated for closet installation.
2) Will the FM-4012 mount to a standard pancake junction box?
It will. The Dice LED square runs on 120V AC with the LED driver built in, so there is no remote driver or transformer to find room for, and WAC states it fits a pancake junction box. The 12 inch square backplate covers the box opening. Hardwired only, no plug.
3) What dimmer do I need for the WAC Dice FM-4012, and will a standard incandescent dimmer work?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer. The Dice fixture is ELV dimmable and gives smooth full range control on one. A standard forward phase incandescent dimmer is not the specified control type and can cause flicker or drop-out, so spec ELV on the wall box.
4) Can the FM-4012 go in a covered porch or a bathroom over a shower?
