1) Can the WAC FM-05RN 5-inch flush mount be used in a shower or over a tub?
Yes. The FM-05RN carries a damp location rating and uses a dead front trim specifically for shower applications. Housing is injection molded UV rated plastic with a translucent acrylic diffuser, so it handles the moisture and the temperature swings inside an enclosure. It is rated Indoor/Outdoor (Covered), so keep it under a soffit or inside the enclosure rather than fully exposed to driving rain.
2) Will this 5-inch WAC flush mount cover an existing round ceiling junction box?
The FM-05RN has a 5.25 inch backplate and an overall 5.25 inch diameter, which covers a standard 4 inch round or octagon ceiling box. It stands just 0.6 inches off the surface, and the driver mounts inside the junction box rather than behind the trim (driver is 2.25 inches diameter by 1 inch deep), so you need box volume free for it. Leads are 6 inches, so plan your splices right at the box.
3) What voltage does the WAC FM-05RN run on, and will it work on a 277V commercial circuit?
