1) Does the WAC Charge 8010 3-light track kit include the track and power feed, or do I have to order those separately?
The kit is complete for a single run: a 4ft H-style 3-wire track with end caps, a floating canopy power feed, and three Charge 8010 LED heads with the LED modules already in them. You wire the canopy to any 120V junction box along the track length. The only piece not in the box is an H I-connector, needed if you want to join two kits into one continuous run.
2) Can this WAC track kit be installed in a bathroom, covered porch, or garage?
Dry locations only. The Charge 8010 kit is ETL and cETL listed to UL #1598 for dry locations, so a bathroom with shower steam, a covered exterior porch, or an unconditioned damp garage is outside its rating. Interior living, dining, kitchen, and retail ceilings are what it is listed for.
3) Will this LED track kit work on my existing H-style track run?
The heads are H-style (3-wire) fittings, so they drop onto existing Halo-pattern H track. The kit itself ships with its own 4ft section, and an H I-connector joins that section to another kit for a continuous run. It is a 120V single-circuit system, so it will not work on a 277V or multi-circuit J or L pattern track.
4) What dimmer do I need for the WAC Charge 8010 track heads?
Use an ELV or TRIAC (forward phase) dimmer. With a compatible one the heads dim smoothly to 10%. Total connected load is only 27W for all three heads, so check the dimmer's minimum load, since many low-voltage ELV dimmers need more than 25W to behave. A 0-10V or DALI control will not work with these.
5) Do I have to decide on a color temperature before I order this track kit?
No. Color temperature is switch-selectable on the fixture across 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K, so one part number covers warm residential light through to cool task light. The only choice you make at order time is finish: Black, Brushed Nickel, Dark Bronze, or White.
6) Is this track kit bright enough to replace recessed cans over a kitchen counter?
Each Charge 8010 head puts out 850 delivered lumens at 10W, with 90+ CRI and a 45 degree beam. Three heads on the run total 2,550 delivered lumens. That is accent and task level light aimed where you point it, not general ambient wash, so over a counter or island it works well; for whole-room illumination in a large space you would want more than one kit.
