1) Can the WAC 1011 inground indicator light run off my existing 12V landscape transformer?
Yes. The 1011 inground indicator is a 12V low-voltage fixture, hardwired, drawing 2W max, so it ties into a standard 12V landscape system. It comes with a 36 inch lead wire for splicing to the run.
2) Is the WAC 1011 indicator light rated to be buried in grade and exposed to sprinklers?
It is an outdoor, wet location rated fixture with an IP66 rating, UL and cUL listed, and a stainless steel body with a clear glass lens. IP66 covers dust ingress and powerful water jets, so irrigation spray and rain are not a problem. Note that IP66 is not a submersion rating, so avoid locations that pond or flood.
3) How big is the hole I need to drill for the WAC 1011 inground light?
The fixture body is 0.93 inch in diameter and 3.13 inches tall, with the top flange measuring 1.07 inches. Core or drill for the 0.93 inch barrel at full 3.13 inch depth plus clearance for the wire, and the 1.07 inch top sits low against the surface.
4) Will a 1 inch WAC indicator light actually light a walkway, or is it just a marker?
It is a marker. At 100 lumens and 2W, the 1011 indicates the edge of a path, step, or driveway rather than illuminating it. If you need usable light on the walking surface, pair these with a proper path light or step light and use the indicators for wayfinding.
5) What color temperatures does the WAC 1011 inground indicator come in?
