1) Will the Schlage L9465 mortise lock fit a 1-3/4 inch door?
Yes, and only that thickness as standard. The L9465 is built for a 1-3/4 inch door with a 2-3/4 inch backset, which is the standard commercial prep. Thicker doors need a door thickness option specified through the L Series options portfolio, not the standard lock. The mortise pocket has to take a case measuring 4-7/16 x 6-1/16 x 1 inches.
