1) How does the Schlage L9465 closet/storeroom function actually work day to day?
The L9465 keeps the latchbolt retracted by the lever from either side at all times, so the door is never locked against passage. 3) What strike comes with the L9465 and will it work in my existing frame prep?
Shipped strike is the Schlage 10-072, a 1-1/4 x 4-7/8 inch square corner box strike with a 1-3/16 inch lip. That's the standard ANSI square-corner frame cutout, so if your frame is already prepped for a 4-7/8 inch ANSI strike you're a straight drop-in. Curved-corner frames will need the corners dressed or a different strike specified. Check the lip length against your frame reveal before you order.
4) Can I order the Schlage L9465 without a cylinder so I can use my own core?
Yes. Four cylinder choices are offered: P for a conventional 6-pin cylinder in the C keyway, L for less conventional cylinder, J for Schlage FSIC less core, and B for SFIC less prep core.
